Avoid Knee Replacement Surgery — Discover a Proven Non-Surgical Alternative

You've been told you need a knee replacement.

You're not ready.

If you’re researching alternatives before scheduling surgery, you’re in the right place. Regenerative knee treatment at Renew Medical Centers is a non-surgical option for patients in Cincinnati, West Chester, Northern Kentucky, and Dayton.

Two real options for chronic knee pain

You have two paths if conservative care (rest, NSAIDs, physical therapy, cortisone) has stopped working. Most patients are only shown one of them.

Total Knee Replacement

The conventional path your orthopedic surgeon will discuss.

Regenerative Knee Treatment at Renew

Non-surgical, in-office, using PRP and other regenerative options selected for your case.

What it costs and what that looks like monthly

Regenerative knee treatment is not covered by insurance. Most patients comparing costs realistically -including deductibles, copays, lost wages, and post-surgical care – find regenerative treatment competitive with what surgery actually costs them out of pocket.

$199/month

Financing available through CareCredit and Cherry. Approval typically takes 60 seconds. 0% APR plans available for qualified applicants.

VS. SURGERY'S HIDDEN COSTS

A total knee replacement with a $5,000
insurance deductible, $1,500 in copays, and 8 weeks of partial lost income at $1,000/week can quietly cost $14,500+ – before factoring in the recovery itself.

" I Was on the Surgery Schedule. I cancelled it."

“My orthopedic surgeon had me on the calendar for a right knee replacement in March. I’d done the cortisone shots, the gel injections, all of it. A friend told me about Renew. I went in skeptical. Six weeks after the procedure, I’m walking the golf course again–full 18, no cart. I cancelled the surgery.”

Common questions

Am i a Candidate?

Most patients with chronic knee pain who have tried conservative options (PT, NSAIDs, cortisone) and want to avoid or delay surgery are appropriate candidates for an evaluation. Some severe cases of bone-on-bone arthritis may not be — your physician will tell you honestly during the consultation. The discovery call is free and takes about 15 minutes.

Does insurance cover this?

No. Regenerative treatments are not currently covered by insurance. The trade-off: no prior authorization process, no surprise denials, no in-network restrictions. We offer financing through CareCredit and Cherry, with monthly payment plans starting around $199.

What does the procedure actually involve?

After a consultation and imaging review, your physician selects the regenerative approach appropriate to your case — typically platelet-rich plasma (PRP), bone marrow aspirate concentrate (BMAC), or other regenerative options. The procedure is done in our office, takes 2–4 hours including prep, and uses local anesthetic only. You walk out the same day.

How long until I notice a difference?

Most patients report meaningful change between 4 and 12 weeks post-procedure, with continued improvement out to 6 months. Some patients respond faster, some slower. Individual results vary based on the severity of damage, age, activity level, and other factors.

If it doesn't work, can I still get surgery?

Yes. Regenerative treatment does not change your surgical options. Many patients use it to delay surgery for years; others use it after deciding surgery isn’t right for them. Either way, your future options remain open.

What if I'm driving from Dayton, NKY, or Indiana?

We see patients regularly from across the Tri-State region. Most patients drive themselves home the same day. We can typically schedule consultation and procedure on convenient days to minimize travel.
