Medical-Weight-Loss
The struggle of finding a way to lose weight healthily plagues millions of people each year. When a combination of a healthy diet and daily exercise is not doing the trick, medical weight loss is one option worth examining. When certain vitamins and minerals are lacking, weight loss can be difficult to achieve and a medical program may be what is necessary.
At Renew Medical Centers, our team specializes in medical weight loss programs that include diagnosis, injections, proper diets, and exercise plans. Customized for each individual patient, our programs address some of the underlying issues that are keeping patients from achieving their weight loss goals.

Medical weight loss is currently available at our clinics in Cincinnati, Fairfield, and West Chester, Ohio.

The first step to considering medical weight loss and determining if you are a candidate is a one-on-one consultation. We believe that each patient and their journey is unique. While many other area clinics offer a group seminar (which they sometimes call a group consultation), we start with a one-on-one medical consultation, including a complete physical exam, review of medical history, and more.

The consultation includes a complete physical exam. For a limited time, new patients receive their consultation for $99 ($199 value).

Human Chorionic Gonadotropin Diet

Known as the HCG diet, this medical injection helps to curb a person’s appetite. This can help shed even the most stubborn pounds on the body. They help to keep healthy fats in the body, and a person can continue building up lean muscle as well.
With a combination of eating healthy foods and exercising as well, people will notice a pretty fast change compared to other weight loss options. The HCG diet mostly focuses on low calories and lasts about eight weeks from beginning to end. The hormone that goes into the body has been directly linked to weight loss in the past, and it helps to boost a person’s metabolism and burn off stubborn fat.

Lipotropic Injections

These injections also focus on fat loss but contain slightly different vitamins, amino acids, and nutrients. They include Vitamin B12, methionine, inositol, choline, and more. It is a combination of ingredients that helps aid in weight loss. These are sometimes referred to as skinny shots. The shots are either put into the arm, or directly into locations on the body with considerable amounts of fat. We offer different injection schedules depending on each patient, in some cases administering injections once a week.
The body is fully capable of taking in a high amount of Vitamin B12, as long as a proper diet and exercise plan is followed as well. Some people react to these injections differently than HCG, which is why we go through a complete physical exam, medical history, and diagnostic before giving our recommendation.

Semaglutide

Medicines like Semaglutide are also termed Incretin mimics as they mimic the effects of these hormones. Semaglutide works by slowing down how fast the food you consume leaves your stomach (termed gastric emptying), thus, working on your appetite. The effect of Semaglutide is different from the other weight loss medications that consist of stimulants and work by curbing the desire for food and eating something.

Semaglutide works by binding to receptors located in the stomach lining, slowing down the stomach’s emptying process. As a result, the brain receives a misleading signal that the stomach is full, further reducing food intake and appetite. As your body experiences a decreased appetite, it starts to lose weight.

Are there any side effects with medical weight loss?

Medical weight loss is a reasonably safe option for people to turn to, with one of the biggest negatives being that it is not going to work for everyone. Every person’s body is different, and how they react to these injections will not always be the same.

Other mild side effects include fatigue, irritability, lightheadedness, and any pain in the injection area. We take all the proper precautions with our trained medical team to minimize as many side effects as possible for all patients.

How do I know if medical weight loss is right for me?

The first step to considering medical weight loss and determining if you are a candidate is a one-on-one consultation. We believe that each patient and their journey is unique. While many other area clinics offer a group seminar (which they sometimes call a group consultation), we start with a one-on-one medical consultation, including a complete physical exam, review of medical history, and more.

Weight loss can be a huge hassle and almost seem like an impossibility for some, but there are solutions for many different types of people. No matter a person’s sex, age, current weight or target weight, medical weight loss is a way to begin that journey the right way.

Who is the Right Candidate for Semaglutide?

Semaglutide is a beneficial solution for people who are obese or overweight. A person is usually diagnosed with obesity if he has a BMI greater than 30, while someone is considered to be diagnosed as overweight if the BMI is greater than 27. Apart from that, there needs to be at least one weight-related condition present for Semaglutide medication, be it high blood pressure or cholesterol or type-2 diabetes.

While Semaglutide is a safe medication and weight loss solution, it is better not to opt for it if you:

  • Are pregnant
  • Are allergic to Semaglutide
  • Have a family history of Medullary Thyroid Carcinoma (MTC) - a rare form of thyroid cancer.
  • Breastfeeding or having plans to breastfeed.

However, the best way to determine if you are the best candidate for weight loss via Semaglutide is by scheduling a consultation or appointment with Renew Medical Centre.
