Everything works!

Regenerative medicine involves allowing your body to heal itself, using naturally occurring cells, and growth factors.

Renew Medical Centers provide advanced regenerative cell therapy (stem cell injections) and platelet rich plasma (PRP) injections to treat orthopedic injuries, arthritis, and other degenerative conditions.

Our treatments are derived autologously (from your own body) or from allograft products (donated tissue). This allows us to provide the most appropriate treatment for each individual patient’s needs. These regenerative treatments have a unique ability to assist your body in regenerating tissue, reducing pain and reducing inflammation in damaged muscles, tendons, ligaments, cartilage, spinal discs, and bone.

Frequently

Asked Questions

Do all regenerative treatments involve stem cells?

No. While stem cell therapy is often what people have heard of as it relates to regenerative medicine, there are many different types of regenerative treatments that are not currently considered stem cell therapy. Other forms of regenerative medicine include multiple types of growth factor allograft treatments and PRP (platelet rich plasma). Providing multiple types of regenerative treatments allows our medical team to provide the most appropriate treatment for each individual patient’s medical condition and needs.

Does insurance cover regenerative treatments?

It depends on the treatment. At this time, insurance does not cover regenerative treatments provided by Renew Medical Centers. However, the costs are reasonable compared to what typical out of pocket expenses are for surgery, physical therapy, and other options such as steroid injections. We also have multiple payment options available when necessary to make treatment as affordable as possible.

Do regenerative treatments come from any process that is harmful to babies?

Absolutely not. In terms of the source of our treatments, there is no harm to any baby. You may have heard of some processes that are harmful to babies, but those are illegal in the United States and we are completely against those methods. If you have any questions about the various sources of regenerative treatments, our medical team members will be happy to answer them during a consultation.

How many treatments will I need?

In general, for the advanced regenerative treatments we provide, this is typically a one-time treatment for a patient’s individual area of need. Effective regenerative therapy reduces inflammation, stops the arthritic process, and regenerates cells in the problem area. For example, treatment for a left knee will typically be a one-time event. However, each patient and their condition is unique. Our medical team will assess and discuss your individual condition and needs during your consultation and will give you an answer and treatment plan specific to you.

Doctors have said I am unable to get surgery. Will I qualify for treatment?

If you are unable to get surgery due to co-morbidities (additional diseases or disorders), regenerative treatment may be a viable option for you. This treatment is minimally invasive and anesthesia is not needed.

I have already had years of injections that didn’t work. How is this different?

If you are referring to steroid injections, steroid injections are not regenerative therapy. Steroid injections are deleterious (damaging) to the tendons and ligaments of the spine. This is why they limit patients to 3 injections per year. Steroid injections can possibly reduce inflammation but do not always. Many of our patients came to us after trying steroid injections that didn’t work for them. The regenerative therapy that we are referring to is not potentially damaging. It is a completely different type of treatment that involve growth factors, allograft, stem cells, and/or PRP. These treatments do have an anti-inflammatory effect and, perhaps more importantly, assists the body in repairing and regenerating damaged cells. This is a completely different type of treatment. It is not just for pain relief. It has the healing potential to regenerate the damaged area.
